SLUG: Plots To Weaken APGA Ahead of 2021 Anambra Guber Elections Uncovered.
The Anambra South Senator and Nnewi born political tactician has clearly identified his SWOT. At a meeting with some heads of his support groups recently in his country home, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was reported to have told his supporters that he is the only one who is already a candidate for the upcoming Anambra 2021 guber elections.
Speaking further, he told heads of all Ifeanyi Ubah Support groups that APGA is the only party with the capacity to march the YPP structure in the State. Senator Ubah stated that he is already in talks with majority of APGA stakeholders who are sympathetic to his course. In his words, “I pay most members of Obiano’s kitchen cabinet. Over 70% of his Aides are in my payroll. You all know that some of ndi APGA come here too for one thing or the other”.
The Capital Oil and Gas Boss further claimed that he has everything to destroy APGA and would only spare the name for the memory of the late Party Leader who is also an Nnewi Son. “I am on a mission to bring back the honour of Ojukwu’s Legacy from the hands of Aguleri people. They cannot destroy what they didn’t build. Trust me, Ojukwu’s soul is now with YPP”, he thundered.
He encouraged his supporters to keep up the faith, while promising them that it is remaining just “One more shot” to Agu Awka.
After the meeting, Insider sources reported to freshgist.com that Senator Ubah is on top gear in his quest to decimate APGA as they march up to the Primary Election. The source further noted that plans had already been concluded with Okija born former Secretary of SURE-P, Mr Akachukwu Nwankpo, who is a close friend of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, to lead the mission.
According to the source who pleaded anonymity, Mr Akachukwu Nwankpo is set to leave his former party, the PDP, for APGA where he will contest for the Party’s Governorship ticket with other top runners.
As at Press time, Mr Nwankpo was yet to return the call of our correspondent or reply the text message sent to his phone.
