Jose Mourinho is considering bringing in the Swedish great Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports.
Ibrahimovic will be available on a free transfer in the new year when he completes his two-year spell at MLS outfit LA Galaxy.
And according to the Telegraph, Mourinho – who took over at Tottenham on Wednesday morning after they sensationally sacked Mauricio Pochettino – is looking at hijacking AC Milan’s attempts to re-sign the veteran striker.
Mourinho signed Ibrahimovic on a free back in 2016 while at Manchester United and the latter produced an impressive return – scoring 26 times in 46 appearances.
The 38-year-old left Old Trafford in March 2018 but maintains a strong relationship with the Portuguese manager.
The pair first worked with each other at Inter Milan between 2008-09, with Mourinho reportedly valuing his professionalism and winning mentality.
