Setback: Ikemba Martin Opara Set To Dump Hon. Bede Eke and The PDP

News about the imminent exit of one of the Legislative Aides to Hon Bede Eke, member representing Ngor Okpala / Aboh Mbaise Federal Constituency at the green chamber has filtered in. The Logara born Aide to the Legislator has raised feelers about his possible resignation as a Legislative aide to the Umuaga, Nguru politician. He was quoted as telling friends and close associates that he will be resigning from serving his current Boss on the grounds of what he referred to as "the growing loss of grip of both the party and his principal" within the federal constituency.

Ikemba Martin Opara is one of the leading supporters of the Bede Eke brand and the convener of "Olu Owerri", a sociopolitical group domiciled in Owerri, with membership spanning across the LGAs that comprise the Owerri zone.

Sources around the Legislative aide have revealed that Mr Martin Opara has already concluded plans to continue his political career with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Barring last minute political maneuverings, Ikemba Martin is due to make his intentions public in the coming week. A close source to Mr Martin Opara, who pleaded anonymity, revealed to our reporter that this recent development may not be unconnected with the growing disaffection between Hon Bede and his legislative aide. The source cited unfulfilled promises on the part of Hon Bede to Ikemba.

Recall that Ikemba Martin Opara led the Chidera group, a youth vanguard that championed the grassroot campaigns of Hon Bede Eke during the 2015 general elections. As at press time, all efforts to reach both the Federal legislator or his legislative aide proved abortive.
